Embroidered Crop Waistcoat - Reversible

£115.00

Description

Made with achadiya and natural cream kala cotton. This reversible crop waistcoat combines a light tone Achadiya cotton, with un-dyed, natural cream Kala cotton. Cut in a boxy, cropped shape, it features a wide, front panel that flows organically around the neckline, giving it a sculpted but relaxed feel.

A red running stitch traces the collar and armholes, highlighting the shape and quilting these fabrics together. On the Achadiya side, red embroidery picks out a pattern, while on the cream side, these same stitches reappear like a shadow or distorted reflection, a quiet echo of the design beneath. A subtle nod to the traditional Ajrakh motifs, that surface through the layered marks of the achadiya.

Due to the nature of hand-dyed and repurposed fabrics, subtle variations in colour, tone and pattern are expected and celebrated. Each piece is thoughtfully constructed by a small team in Cornwall, embracing the beauty in imperfections and visible mending. Designed to be worn, lived in, and cherished over time.

Made to Order
The first small batch of this item has now sold out, so it’s available on a Made to Order basis. Once purchased, your garment will be thoughtfully sewn in Cornwall by our small production team, just for you.

  • We offer a visible mending service to repair and extend the life of your garments over time. Please get in touch for more details and costs.
